Practice Improvement Officer - Dynamic Results Coaching

Dynamic Results Coaching seeks a Practice Improvement Officer to improve and influence social care practice across the authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and share learning materials based on themes and practice issues arising from quality assurance activity to improve services for children and families in Bolton.
  • Support in the development and delivery of Bolton's career entry and progression pathways through bespoke programmes such as apprenticeships, Frontline, and Greater Manchester Return to Social Work programmes.
  • Collaborate with children and families to understand quality of practice.
  • Contribute and engage the workforce in the continuous development of our learning culture, specifically around ensuring quality assurance activity influences practice.
  • Support in the design and delivery of responsive training and learning activity, including training delivery across the workforce.
  • Provide coaching to practitioners to enable them to understand audit findings and improve practice.
  • Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct. Identify own continuing professional development needs and strive to meet these.
  • Influence practice standards and training to meet service needs.
About You
  • Experienced and reflective practitioner with a commitment to strength-based, child‑centred practice.
  • Strong understanding of legislation and research relevant to the role, with a proactive approach to learning and research.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and their families.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the application of relational and restorative practice approaches.
  • Experience supporting the development of a learning culture and influencing the learning and development of others, including students, newly qualified social workers and other practitioners.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Post‑qualification experience in statutory social work, including experience of working with professional staff to support them to deliver high quality work.
  • Recognised Social Work Qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Practice Educator qualification/supervisory experience preferred.
Terms & Conditions

Duration: 6 months. Full‑time, 37 hours per week. Hybrid working arrangement – candidates must be able to work from the office in Bolton to meet service needs. Free on‑site parking. References will be requested for any candidates offered an interview, and DBS will be required for any candidate offered a post.
