- Support young people with daily routines: getting ready for school, meal preparation, and planning activities.
- Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join activities like trips to the park, cinema nights, and creative projects.
- Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
We are a solo residential children’s home, providing individualised care to one young person at a time. The setting is safe, homely and nurturing, designed to build trusting relationships and a calm, stable environment.
Young people may have complex backgrounds and emotional/behavioural needs. Supporting them can be challenging but rewarding, with progress being a strong source of purpose and pride.
The team works closely together with consistent boundaries and routines, sharing observations to respond to each young person’s needs. We prioritise staff wellbeing with emotional support and regular communication.

As a Deputy Manager, you’ll contribute to shaping futures and supporting young people (ages 8–18) in a similar capacity to the Residential Team Leader role, with responsibilities to support daily routines, create a warm environment, build relationships, plan activities, and maintain essential records. The setting and expectations are aligned with the Residential Team Leader description above.
