The Bus Division Headof Commercialisresponsibleforcoordinatingandleadingallcommercialactivitiesacrossthe Busentities ,ensuringthatquotes,tenders,costingsandcommercialtermsarerobust,competitiveandalignedwiththe
Groupprofitabilityobjectives.
Theroleactsasthecentralcommercialauthorityacrossthe Bus Divisionmanagingtenderpipelines ,leadingcomplexbidactivity,standardisingcommercialprocesses,andworkingcross-functionally with
Sales,Marketing,Operations,Engineering,Procurement and Financetoconvertopportunitiesintoprofitableorders.
Managementofateamoftwocommercialsupportleadsinthebusdivision.
Key Duties&Responsibilities Commercial Coordination&Governance- Coordinatethebusdivisioncommercialactivities,includingquotations,tenders,costmodelsandcommercialtermsandconditionsforquotesandcontracts,workingsidebysidewiththe
Headof Salesandthe Group Marketing Manager . - Akeypartoftheroleisinfluencingproductandsalesstrategicroadmapswithinsightsonourcommercialperformance.
- Managethepipelineofquotesandtenders,includingbacklogvisibilityandprioritisation,guidingtheteamtodelivercustomerproposalsontimeandinquality.
- Coordinateweeklycommercialplanningsessionswithkeystakeholders(e.g.Salesleadershipandcommercialteam) toalignresourcesandpriorities.
- Coordinatethepreparationofcostandquoteproposalsforthe Busdivisionthroughthebusdivisioncommercialteam.
- Leadthecreationofwinningtendersthroughfullbidlifecyclefrom Bid/No-Bidbusinesscasethroughtocustomernegotiationandcontractaward,incoordinationwiththebusdivisionsalesteam.
- Leadad-hocandcomplextendersubmissions(e.g.largetenders,newproductlaunches,frameworksubmissionsandsimilarpublicsectoropportunities),coordinating cross-functionalteamsasrequired.
- Developandmaintainstandardisedquotationtemplates,incorporatinginputsfrom
Operations,Procurement,Engineering and Financeforallproducts. - Buildandmaintain
EBITDA-basedcommercialmodelstosupportpricingdecisionsandprofitabilityassessment. - Challengeinternalcostassumptionsandsupportcost-downinitiativestoimprovecompetitivenessandmarginperformance.
- Produceregularcommercialreportingfor Business Reviews ,Salesmeetingsand
SLTmeetings,including: - Opportunityandtenderpipeline
- Orderintakeandconversionrates
- Commercialrisksandopportunities
- Ensurecommercialdataisaccurate,timelyanddecision-useful.
- Streamlineandimprovecommercialprocessesincoordinationwith Salesand Operations ,frominitialquotethroughorderplacementandhand-overofordersto
Operations. - Influenceandaligninternalstakeholderstodeliverhigh-quality,competitiveandtimelycommercialsubmissions.
