Role Purpose

The Bus Division Headof Commercialisresponsibleforcoordinatingandleadingallcommercialactivitiesacrossthe Busentities ,ensuringthatquotes,tenders,costingsandcommercialtermsarerobust,competitiveandalignedwiththe

Groupprofitabilityobjectives.

Theroleactsasthecentralcommercialauthorityacrossthe Bus Divisionmanagingtenderpipelines ,leadingcomplexbidactivity,standardisingcommercialprocesses,andworkingcross-functionally with

Sales,Marketing,Operations,Engineering,Procurement and Financetoconvertopportunitiesintoprofitableorders.

Managementofateamoftwocommercialsupportleadsinthebusdivision.

Key Duties&Responsibilities Commercial Coordination&Governance
  • Coordinatethebusdivisioncommercialactivities,includingquotations,tenders,costmodelsandcommercialtermsandconditionsforquotesandcontracts,workingsidebysidewiththe

    Headof Salesandthe Group Marketing Manager .
  • Akeypartoftheroleisinfluencingproductandsalesstrategicroadmapswithinsightsonourcommercialperformance.
Tender&Quotation Management
  • Managethepipelineofquotesandtenders,includingbacklogvisibilityandprioritisation,guidingtheteamtodelivercustomerproposalsontimeandinquality.
  • Coordinateweeklycommercialplanningsessionswithkeystakeholders(e.g.Salesleadershipandcommercialteam) toalignresourcesandpriorities.
  • Coordinatethepreparationofcostandquoteproposalsforthe Busdivisionthroughthebusdivisioncommercialteam.
  • Leadthecreationofwinningtendersthroughfullbidlifecyclefrom Bid/No-Bidbusinesscasethroughtocustomernegotiationandcontractaward,incoordinationwiththebusdivisionsalesteam.
  • Leadad-hocandcomplextendersubmissions(e.g.largetenders,newproductlaunches,frameworksubmissionsandsimilarpublicsectoropportunities),coordinating cross-functionalteamsasrequired.
Costing,Pricing&Financial Modelling
  • Developandmaintainstandardisedquotationtemplates,incorporatinginputsfrom

    Operations,Procurement,Engineering and Financeforallproducts.
  • Buildandmaintain

    EBITDA-basedcommercialmodelstosupportpricingdecisionsandprofitabilityassessment.
  • Challengeinternalcostassumptionsandsupportcost-downinitiativestoimprovecompetitivenessandmarginperformance.
Reporting&Performance Monitoring
  • Produceregularcommercialreportingfor Business Reviews ,Salesmeetingsand

    SLTmeetings,including:
  • Opportunityandtenderpipeline
  • Orderintakeandconversionrates
  • Commercialrisksandopportunities
  • Ensurecommercialdataisaccurate,timelyanddecision-useful.
Process Improvement&Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Streamlineandimprovecommercialprocessesincoordinationwith Salesand Operations ,frominitialquotethroughorderplacementandhand-overofordersto

    Operations.
  • Influenceandaligninternalstakeholderstodeliverhigh-quality,competitiveandtimelycommercialsubmissions.
