The ALM is responsible for assisting the Location Manager in supervising daily operations, monitoring performance, identifying safety issues, and resolving conflicts for our CALEDON EAST, ON City location.

Ensures home to school routes are covered in a timely and efficient mannerInterfaces with drivers regarding concerns and performance issuesInvestigates client complaints and coordinates resolutionsEnsures achievement of on time performance goalsMonitors driver safety and makes Injury Prevention (IP) contacts with drivers to identify and resolve safety issuesAssist Contractual Manager with review and resolution of union grievancesEnsures dispatch staff assigns spare drivers and buses as required to provide on-time coverage of routesAudits and corrects athletic trip invoices based on company guidelinesAssistant Location Manager Experience and
Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent3-5 years experience in transportation2-3 years supervisory experienceComputer literacy skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookFamiliar with basic vehicle mechanic processes and maintenanceAbility to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyWork extended hours regularly, including weekendsPossess working vehicle to travel within service area as neededFirst Student’s commitment to putting our customers first, dedication to safety, and an ambition to deliver dependable transportation makes for a working environment you’ll love.
