Field Service Technician III
The Field Service Technician III is responsible for the high‑level installation, service, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and removal of Kinetico water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, UV filtration, and related equipment. This role includes direct customer interaction, technical sales support, and mentorship to junior technicians. The technician ensures each system operates optimally while upholding the company's reputation for professionalism, safety, and quality.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities- Executes all processes and procedures related to product installations, utilizing various software tools and mechanical devices to record data.
- Assists with complex installations and escalated service requests.
- Manages the customer relationship by effectively explaining the installation, repair, or replacement work being performed.
- Ensures that payment terms have been complied with prior to service work being performed.
- Provides professional technical service and repair work at residential and commercial locations.
- Identifies and converts sales opportunities for add‑on products and services.
- Executes all documentation required for the customer, and for corporate record and data management.
- Provides support and guidance to the Field Service Technician team for escalated questions and best practices on installations and service.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including company vehicle, company tools, and spare parts inventory.
- Accurately completes service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records, ensuring all information is up‑to‑date and accessible.

What you will need to succeed Education & Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of technician experience or relative experience required.
- Completion of Residential Pro, Residential Master, and Commercial Master academies.
- Valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
- Plumbing experience and skills (soldering); plumbing certification a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and show initiative.
- Strong work ethic, self‑motivated, action and goal oriented.
- Proven “customer‑centric” focus and approach with the ability to establish and change priorities as required.
- Problem solver, excellent listening and verbal skills, and exceptional customer service phone skills.
- Organized and able to provide detailed follow‑up and follow‑through of all company processes and procedures.
- Professional image, outstanding customer relations skills, and comfortable talking to customers about product and payment options.
- Working knowledge of common software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.; familiarity with data entry systems a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills; understanding the technology contained in the company’s products is essential.
- Accurate management of data, willingness to help others and an interest in executing responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
