The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Supervisor/Programmer, General Programs, this casual position is responsible for delivering various general programs to preschool, youth, adults, or adults 55+.

  • Assist with and/or prepare and implement program content based on program objectives outlined by the Town
  • Assist with and/or prepare course related materials in the facilities, teaching material and equipment.
  • Prepare program outlines, lesson plans and material for participants as required.
  • Provide program instruction/leadership at the appropriate skill level of participants.
  • Perform administrative tasks (i.e., attendance, preparation, injury and incident reports etc.)
The Ideal Candidate s

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are looking to gain experience teaching piano lessons. Ideal candidates will have current Standard First Aid and CPR-C. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a program area is preferred. Experience working with preschool, youth, adults, and adults 55+ would be an asset.

Candidates will have demonstrated ability to facilitate program delivery and have excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills with attention to detail. These candidates will also possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate.
