Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Radiology Technologist to work at our main hospital in Bolivar, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long‑term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. About the department

Utilizing the newest state‑of‑the‑art equipment and technologies, the Radiology Department provides 24/7 diagnostic imaging services to meet the needs of a wide variety of patients at both the hospital and Outpatient Imaging Center. Examinations are performed on both a scheduled and emergent basis and may include diagnostic radiology, mammography, vascular and echocardiography ultrasound, PET and CT, and MRI.

A typical day will include

Performing routine and specialized x‑ray examinations in both the hospital and Outpatient Imaging Center.

  • Prepares patient for examinations, positioning and / or immobilizing patient in accordance with type of procedure to be administered, considering the safety, physical, and psychological needs of the patient
  • Perform examination, adjusting control panel settings, such as voltage, amperage, and time of exposure, as necessary
  • Processes data assuring optimal imaging has been achieved prior to discharge of the patient, re‑imaging as necessary
  • Assists Radiologist and Medical Staff as required, preparing solutions using sterile techniques and administering barium and IV contrast solutions
This position is

PRN- 4 hours every 2 weeks

Job Requirements
  • Education:

    Completion of a Radiology Technologist program with an Associate Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience:

    New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred
  • Skills:

    Verbal and non‑verbal communication, examination skills, patient safety
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required, CT preferred, but willing to train
  • Physical:
    Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk the majority of the time; the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently and 20-25 lbs. frequently
