Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MOis hiring a Patient Access Associate to join our team in the Emergency Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department:To make the patients' initial contact with Citizens Memorial Hospital a pleasant, stress-free experience and to gather the appropriate patient information to maintain an accurate medical record
A typical day will include: Each Patient Access Associate is cross-trained when applicable to function in various areas of Patient Access. Duties include obtaining accurate patient information, insurance data, and registering/admitting patients with a customer services focus.
- Registers account for CMH ambulance reports accurately and efficiently.
- Creates a friendly atmosphere for those seeking services in the Emergency Room
- Completes registration of all Pre-ER accounts accurately and timely based onnotification of medical screening being performed in accordance with EMTALA guidelines.
- Ensures the correct insurance mnemonic is listed, and billing address given.
Job Requirements:
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent - Experience:
Customer service experience a minimum of 1 year - Skills:
Preferred Knowledge of medical terminology - Licensure/Certification: N/A
- Physical: ability to work at a computer 90% of the day and stand for the remaining 10%
The position is: PRN rotating; hours may vary.
