Dock Worker Bolingbrook IL- 2nd Shift

Overview

Power Play Distributors is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) company based in Bolingbrook, IL that distributes premium frozen pizza products throughout the Midwestern states. The Dock Worker is responsible for picking and staging inbound and outbound product orders; loading and moving material on and off trucks.

• Daily inspection of forklifts and trailer safety checks
• Work from verbal orders and written production sheets
• Update orders placed by Sales Reps
• Load and unload trailers
• Pick and palletize RSR orders
• Maintain product flow in and out of the freezer
• Perform daily housekeeping of the dock area, including sweeping and trash disposal
• Use forklift, hand pallet jacks, hand carts, computer, trailer refer equipment, and common office supplies
• Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly
• Move route trucks in the yard when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Stand and move around the work area
• Forklift operation may involve periods of prolonged sitting
• Requires bending, squatting, climbing, reaching to gather and move picked items
• Regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Push/pull pallet jack loaded with material weighing up to 1400 lbs
• Work in a warehouse environment including open docks and freezer units; exposed to temperature variations from 28-35 degrees in loading area and 5 to
  -5 degrees in the freezer

• Current forklift certification required
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Basic math skills
• Ability to comply with instructions and prescribed routines, methods, or procedures
• Ability to exercise judgment in making minor decisions
• Prior experience working in below-freezing conditions preferred
