Forklift Operator

Join Ryder System, Inc. as a Reach Truck Forklift Operator located in Bolingbrook, Illinois. This role involves operating various forklifts and automated packaging systems to support warehouse operations.

Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour
Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour when working 2nd shift

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract and perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator's License, certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Team player in a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual.
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Work safely using health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
