Shop Mechanic - Automotive and Industrial Equipment

Thompson First Group is seeking Shop Technicians for permanent opportunities for a local client in
Bolingbrook, IL.

The right candidate will have at least three years of experience working as Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Farm Equipment Mechanic or a Forklift Mechanic.
Responsibilities

• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with company policy, OSHA and DOT
• Shop Mechanic must be able to communicate with Service Manager on problems that could result in work delay
• Knowledge of Aerial Equipment
• Shop Mechanic should have experience in electronics and hydraulics
• Diesel and gas engine experience
• Shop Mechanic should be able to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be dependable and report to work on time
• Shop Mechanic must provide own tools
• Must not have a fear of heights
• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 75 pounds

• Technical experience
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematic
• Detail oriented
• Good communication skills
• Sufficient hand tools
• Prompt and consistent attendance
