Innovation Intern

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Innovation Intern to support both our Regulatory/Document Control and Laboratory Technical teams.

This role is designed and intended to be performed in Bolingbrook, IL.

The compensation range for this role is $19 to $21 per hour.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in both regulatory and laboratory functions, exposure to real‑world product development and compliance processes, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support innovation at KENT Worldwide™.

• Assist with sample creation, primarily for color‑related projects.
• Perform analytical testing including:
• Brix
• Viscosity
• Bulk Density
• Specific Gravity
• Colorimetry
• Support recipe testing and potential new recipe development.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment (daily cleaning, bench wipe‑downs, machine sanitation).
• Replenish lab ingredients and supplies, and pull finished product samples from production as needed.

• Assist with Trace Gains uploads for ingredient documentation.
• Create and update final product specifications.
• Support documentation‑related special projects based on current priorities.
• Coordinate and compile formula information.
• Provide general support including collecting missing information and assisting with basic regulatory tasks.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Interest in both regulatory documentation and hands‑on lab work.
