Job Description- Serve as the Magnet® Program Director for Bolingbrook and Glen Oaks Hospitals.
- Lead planning, execution, and oversight of Magnet designation or redesignation activities for both hospitals, ensuring alignment and consistency while honoring campus-specific strengths.
- Act as the primary liaison with ANCC, including application submission, written documentation, interim reports, and site visit preparation.
- Advance Magnet domains:
Transformational Leadership, Structural Empowerment, Exemplary Professional Practice, New Knowledge/Innovation, and Empirical Outcomes. - Partner with nursing leadership to strengthen shared governance, professional development, nursing research, and evidence-based practice.
- Support collaboration with academic partners, including UChicago Medicine, to advance clinical excellence and professional practice models.
- Oversee collection, validation, analysis, and presentation of nursing-sensitive indicators and quality outcomes for both hospitals.
- Ensure development of high-quality Magnet narratives, exemplars, and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with quality, analytics, and performance improvement teams to demonstrate sustained outcomes.
- Educate leaders, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on Magnet standards and expectations.
- Build and sustain a culture of nursing excellence, professional accountability, and engagement across both campuses.
- Lead staff readiness activities for Magnet site visits, including communication, coaching, and education.
- Facilitate Magnet Steering Committees, councils, and work groups at Bolingbrook and Glen Oaks.
- Collaborate with system nursing leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise nursing strategy and best practices.
- Partner with Human Resources, Education, Quality, Research, and Medical Staff leadership to support Magnet goals.
- Monitor changes in ANCC Magnet standards and translate requirements into operational practice.
- Ensure ongoing readiness, compliance, and sustainment between Magnet cycles.
- Bachelor's of Nursing (Required)
- Master's of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
- Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
