Forklift Operator

Weather Tech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Reach Truck/Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and manual lifting devices to load, unload, and transport material to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.

• The base hourly rate of pay starts at $22.00 per hour. 2nd Shift receives a $1.00 differential and 3rd shift receives a $1.50 differential.
• 1st Shift - 6:00am-2:30pm. 2nd Shift - 3:00pm-11:30pm. 3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:30am.

As a reach Truck/Forklift Operator, you will

• Operate forklifts and manual lifting devices to deliver material to production machines/workstations; distribute material/inventory using the first in-first out method
• Manually or mechanically load or unload material from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the facility
• Organize all production material and inventory; use RF Scanner to scan material to appropriate locations and verify quantities are accurate; restock material in floor and rack locations
• Ensure that all necessary inventory is available for production use and coordinate the ordering of material/inventory
• Complete daily inspection of equipment and communicate maintenance needs or damage; charge/fill batteries
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operation and training of powered equipment with a clear understanding of forklift operations, weight capacities, and attachments
• 2+ years of steady experience operating a Reach Truck
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Be an excellent performer; deliver high-quality results consistently
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
• Able to work well with and motivate a team
• Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
