Work Hours

Mon – Fri 2:30pm – 11:00pm plus overtime and scheduled weekends

Summary / Objective

The Manager of Production is responsible for managing the production department, achieving desired goals in efficiency, on‑time performance, and quality control. Provide leadership to production employees and create a positive work environment, consistently giving performance feedback.йс This role also oversees the Bindery and Finishing Departments, ensuring quality, workflow efficiency, and proper staffing.

Essential Functions
  • Manage performance, including regular feedback, annual evaluations, goal‑setting, and improvement plans.
  • Oversee production management and understand the letter shop process.
  • Ensure all Lettershop employees are properly trained on equipment and processes.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Bindery Department, ensuring all equipment (cutters, folders, etc.) is running efficiently and safely.
  • Train Bindery staff on equipment, safety protocols, and production processes.
  • Monitor Bindery production schedules to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Implement and maintain quality‑control standards for all bindery output.
  • Manage workflow between Bindery, Lettershop, and other related production areas.
  • Identify areas of improvement and coordinate with the Lettershop team and other departments to initiate and execute process‑improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Maintain respectful communication and inter‑departmental relationships.
  • Hold supervisors, leads and employees accountable to established quality procedures.
  • Coordinate with the management team on changes or deviations from original work orders to ensure continued production.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance in coordination with Scheduler & Maintenance.
  • Represent the Lettershop Department in the weekly cross‑functional team meeting.
  • Prepare and conduct regular department meetings.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to retain and acquire talent for the Lettershop team.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of supervisory experience managing 5‑8 people and leading a team of 30‑50 people across multiple shifts.
  • Experience in print and mail production is preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing production in the direct mail industry is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in print production management cerebroly in letter shop operations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities and a proven track record of managing multiple projects.
  • Thorough understanding of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Knowledge of quality‑control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage the Lettershop, mail finishing, and maintenance teams.

Work Environment

temperature‑controlled production facility.

Physical Demands
  • Stand on feet for at least 8 hours a day.
  • L lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Wear personal protection equipment (PPE) as required.
Security Clearance

Amsive is a federal contractor, and this position may require a government security clearance for certain projects.
