Operator I, Bindery/Finishing – 2nd Shift

Location:

605 Territorial Dr., Bolingbrook, IL 60440.

Shift: 2:30pm – 11:30pm CT. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Summary:

Operator I responsible for cutting, folding, and finishing direct mail pieces. Works within Bolingbrook operational processes.

• Operate and set up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines.
• Operate and set up traditional bindery cutters and folders.
• Enter data into ERP, monitoring performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform equipment start‑up, shut‑down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality issues.
• Replenish materials as they are depleted.
• Maintain production, efficiency, and quality records.
• Support continuous production of personal products, understanding binding machine procedures.
• Handle routine tasks with discretion; applies limited knowledge for short‑term tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Effective process management skills.
• Mechanical skills and high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance documents.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Can work independently and multitask.

Not responsible for supervising other employees.

Indoor, temperature controlled, production facility.

• Stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require PPE.

Position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
