Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
• Support process improvements, equipment installations, line expansions, and facility upgrades
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth project execution
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and standard work
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers
• Track project progress and communicate status, risks, and results to stakeholders

• 2+ years of professional working experience within a manufacturing based setting
• Experience working within a new product development, new product introduction, R&D or prototyping based setting
• Ability to lead new product introduction (NPI) programs from concept and design transfer through validation, production ramp-up, and handoff to operations
• Ability to manage cross-functional internal teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering) to execute program milestones on schedule, within scope, and aligned with operational goals
• Ability to plan and execute structured APQP and phase-gate launches, including risk assessments, gate deliverables, control plans, and readiness reviews
