Position: Project Engineer (47614)

Project Engineer (47614) at MCE - Motion & Control Enterprises, LLC

Position Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for management and documentation of Engineered Solutions Group products.

Essential Duties
  • Entry and documentation of systems in ERP system and engineered systems group network drive.
  • Manage engineered system group products and re‑design or refine systems for necessary customer updates.
  • Design light hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Create schematic drawings and designs (2D and 3D CAD modeling).
  • Oversee shop build projects from inception to sign‑off completion.
  • Build documents on our System Co documentation network drive.
  • Provide customer support and design to best practice and customer specifications on systems.
  • Work with shop staff and provide documentation models and drawings on system.
  • Ensure the best products are produced for our customers.
  • Oversee the testing and serve as final quality control on products before they are shipped to customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • General understanding and conceptual knowledge for system builds that foster creative solutions for customer applications.
  • Proficient understanding and conceptual knowledge for electrical system layouts and builds.
  • 3–5+ years related job experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering, Production.
  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree (AA) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management reporting, technical documentation, and customer relationship management.
  • Analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and good communication skills.
  • AutoCAD and/or Solid Works, MS Office & Internet Application.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inventory software, AutoCAD and/or Solid Works, and Internet Application.
  • General knowledge of programming ladder logic (Rockwell), VFD setup and programming, and HMI screen creation.
Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position are typical for a sedentary office environment, including considerable time spent in a stationary position at a desk using a computer terminal and keyboard. Movement around the office and occasional standing are required.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position is typical for an office, including protection from weather conditions and usual office equipment noise.
