About the Role:The Warehouse Staff position is crucial to the efficient operation of our distribution business in Boise. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of orders, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The primary end result of this position is to support the overall supply chain by ensuring that products are stored, picked, packed, delivered, and shipped effectively.
Warehouse Staff will collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Experience with order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to create delivery schedules and ensure they are adhered to, with continual planning for the days ahead.
- Experience in the restaurant equipment industry a plus.
- Experience with shipping UPS, Fed Ex and freight shipments.
- Clean driving record required.
- Must pass drug test and background check.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the order against shipping documents.
- Organize and store products in designated areas of the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and inventory management.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, preparing them for shipment and delivery in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reporting discrepancies to management.
The required skills for this position include physical stamina and attention to detail, which are essential for efficiently handling inventory and ensuring accuracy in order processing. Teamwork and communication skills are vital as Warehouse Staff will work closely with colleagues to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that arise. Preferred skills such as forklift operation and familiarity with inventory management software will enhance the candidate's ability to perform tasks more effectively.
