PGA​/LPGA Pro​/Apprentice Instructor- Golf

Passionate about golf and love helping others learn the game? As a Golf Instructor, you’ll share your knowledge and enthusiasm by providing instruction, coaching, and new-golfer development to patrons at Warm Springs and Quail Hollow golf courses. From first-time swings to refining skills, you’ll help golfers of all ages build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy their time on the course. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys teaching, connecting with people, and being part of a welcoming golf community.

The position is open to all interested candidates age 16 and older and works up to 19 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. If you’re ready to turn your love of golf into a rewarding, people-focused role—this is your chance to help grow the game, one swing at a time.

• Instructs and coaches individuals in the game of golf. Provides golf club fitting services and swing instruction.
• Assists with tournament planning and operations. Identifies needs and key performance factors of students and participants; monitors and evaluates progress to develop performance.
• Assists in Golf Pro Shop and helps customers with sales and golf product questions.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.

Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training

• One year of experience instructing and coaching golf.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the game of golf.

Ability

• Exercise some independent judgment.
• To deal with the public, coworkers and supervisors in a friendly and tactful manner.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Operate a cash register and calculate change quickly and accurately.
• Work extended weekend hours.
• Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations.
• Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
• Complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Two years' experience teaching golf and working at a golf course pro shop/front desk.

• Applicants Must Be Able To Pass City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation

Position requires hand/finger dexterity.
