- Facility Oversight – Proactively monitor and manage the movement of staff, inmates, and visitors, ensuring a secure environment and reporting hazards.
- Security Console Mastery – Operate advanced audio‑visual security systems, including door controls, lights, alarms, and the CCTV system.
- Communication Expertise – Use telephone and radio equipment to manage calls and communication inside the facility.
- Emergency Incident Command – Lead during emergencies, acting as Incident Command Center and coordinating with staff and responders.
- Data Management – Keep accurate logs of radio assignments, key activities, maintenance requests, and essential data.
- Technical Troubleshooting – Identify and report technical issues with radios, alarms or other security equipment, resolving problems quickly.
- Tech‑Savvy Operator – Operate and maintain computers, office equipment and devices, performing minor maintenance as needed.
- Flexible Team Player – Take on additional duties as needed to support the security team.
- Schedule Flexibility – Work all shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, on‑call if required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Preferred:
Current Idaho driver’s license. - Familiarity with basic office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in operating a computer terminal (CRT), printer, and other office equipment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with the public in a respectful and professional manner.
- Ability to effectively manage stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capable of following both verbal and written instructions.
- Must successfully complete an in‑person Criti Call test.
