* This position functions as the sales department’s administrative support, including appointment setting, logistics, and serving as a liaison for clients. Sales Canvassers assist with the daily operation of the sales team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. The role involves identifying revenue opportunities, qualifying contacts, and driving leads through the sales pipeline.
- Primary point of contact.
- Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on various information sources.
- Involves in marketing logistics, including quoting prices, credit terms, and preparing sales contracts.
- Travels within the assigned territory to call on customers and solicit orders.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and tracks invoices and expenses.
- Resolves customer problems related to deliveries.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Coordinates customer training.
** Management and Supervisory Responsibility:*
* Typically reports to the Sales Manager. This role does not directly manage other employees.
** Job Qualifications/Skill Requirements:*
* Requires an perceptive individual capable of relating to people at all levels. Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet software, Order processing, and Contact Management systems is necessary. Some travel may be required.
** Additional:*
* Completes tasks as requested by the Regional Sales Director.
