Job Summary - Sales Representative

Knife River Mountain Region is seeking a motivated and customer focused Sales Representative to support our readymix concrete and aggregate operations in the Boise, Idaho market. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to begin a career in sales, learn the construction materials industry, and grow into roles of increasing responsibility. The role provides structured training, handson experience, and opportunities for longterm advancement within the organization.

• Support the development and maintenance of customer relationships with contractors, developers, and supply houses
• Assist with inside and outside sales activities for readymix concrete and aggregates
• Follow up on project leads and gather basic project information
• Prepare quotes and bids using company software under supervision
• Coordinate with internal teams on scheduling, pricing, and delivery needs
• Provide general customer support throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in training to build product knowledge and industry understanding
• Maintain compliance with all Knife River safety policies

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or coursework in business, construction, or related fields preferred
• Prior sales, customer service, or construction experience helpful but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn technical information and apply it in customer interactions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency with standard business software applications
