The Winter Lift Access Gate Attendant position is responsible for the daily set up and tear down of lift mazes, assisting guests through scanner gates, fraud prevention, maintaining an orderly lift line, and directing guests, while providing quality customer service.

Unbeatable Access to the Outdoors: Located in the Boise National Forest, Bogus Basin offers year-round activities: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing in the winter; mountain biking, hiking, and chairlift rides in the summer. As a Winter Lift Access Gate Attendant, you’ll help manage lift lines, maintain maze areas, check tickets and passes, and ensure all guests have a smooth and safe lift experience. You’ll also monitor for fraud, provide guidance to lift guests, and report safety concerns.

• Advise and assist guests using the lift.
• Maintain orderly passenger traffic within lift areas.
• Confidently and clearly communicate with guests.

• Set up and tear down lift mazes daily.
• Check tickets and passes, addressing any issues that arise.
• Use tablets or computers to identify fraudulent or improper ticket use.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assist in mountain rescue efforts, if necessary.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

• Immediately report any condition or occurrence that may affect safety to the Lift Supervisor or Manager on duty.
• Maintain personal protective equipment and uniform standards.

What You Bring

• Passion for Bogus Basin’s mission.
• Ability to stand, balance, walk, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to use hand tools including drill, rake, pulaski, shovel, and broom.
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 35 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs or more.
• Physical stamina to stand up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Personal appearance and uniform adherence in the public eye.

• Majority of time spent outdoors.
• Regular exposure to inclement weather.
• Vibration and noise are present in the work environment.

• Maintain a professional appearance while in the public eye.
• Required equipment includes:
• Black ski or snowboard pants
• Gloves or mittens, durable and in good repair
• Helmet and eyewear
• Thermal wear for warmth
• Alpine skiing/snowboarding equipment that is up-to-date, in good repair, and safe
