Position: Patient (Lactation) Educator - Mother Baby Boise-151440

Description & Requirements

St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient (Lactation) Educator RN to join our dynamic Mother Baby Unit in a full-time or part-time position! This position provides lactation support to both inpatient postpartum families and outpatient follow‑up visits, offering a unique opportunity to support families across the full continuum of infant feeding care.

Our Mother Baby Unit in Boise is a fast‑paced environment where teamwork, communication, and strong clinical skills are essential. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy setting, adapts quickly, and provides exceptional, evidence‑based lactation support to families with diverse needs.

What You Can Expect
  • Teaches and provides support to patients based on the specific needs and learning ability of the patient.
  • Coordinate the patient education with other disciplines as it relates to the program specialty.
  • Review and update patient teaching materials related to the program specialty.
  • May Assist patients with developing skills they need to manage their disease through behavior modification.
  • Provides comprehensive education to clients who have self-selected the learning opportunity.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
  • Experience:

    1+ years
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Current RN License in the State of Practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
