Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with rare overnight shifts

• Minimum of 4 hours of call following scheduled shifts required

• Weekend call requirements: 12-hour in-house day shift, volunteers first then once per month

• Holiday call requirements: 12-hour in-house day shift, volunteers first then once per month

• Night call shifts may be up to 12 hours, volunteers first then 1-2 times per contract

• Call response time is 30 minutes

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, prefer at least 1-2 travel assignments

• Broad experience in all surgical cases preferred

• BLS certification required

• Work with 17 operating suites handling approximately 65 cases per day

• Handle diverse surgical cases including pediatric and adult general surgery, DaVinci robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, ENT, gynecology, and bariatrics

• No scrubbing required for RNs

• OR techs available on all shifts

• Charge nurse coverage 24/7

• Use EPIC electronic medical records system

• Hospital-provided grey scrubs required

• Rare floating to nearby surgery centers or other locations

• One week orientation including general and unit-specific training

• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility

This major medical center features a comprehensive surgical services department with 17 operating suites and a high-volume caseload of approximately 65 procedures daily. The facility specializes in a wide range of surgical services including pediatric care, advanced robotic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, and bariatric procedures. The hospital maintains an attached oncology center and provides 24/7 surgical coverage with experienced support staff and modern equipment.

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
