What is Hays House? Hays House is a critical part of the Idaho Youth Ranch family of programs. It is the only 24-hour shelter for homeless and runaway youth in the Treasure Valley and Idaho’s only Safe Place®. In addition to emergency shelter services, we also offer:

• Respite care to give primary caregivers much-needed relief and improve family stability

• Drop-in services so young people can stop in for a safe place to get a warm shower, a hot meal, and more

• Hays House gives kids a safe, supportive, caring, stable place to live while we help them find their way forward

As a Shift Supervisor for the Hays House residential facility, you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by leading and supervising the direct care staff working in the program. Every member of the IYR works to contribute to the Programs and Services in their own way to make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho.

Must Haves:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
• Must possess High School diploma or equivalent
• One year full time experience in a residential facility for youth or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
• 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity

Our Shift Supervisors:

• Leads staff assigned to them to provide outstanding care to youth and complete all required tasks
• Assists with on-boarding and training Youth Care Providers
• Carries out duties and tasks in accordance with the program’s standards and procedures and ensures that other direct care staff do the same

This position would work five days a week, at least one weekend day, from 2:30pm - 10:30pm.

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.

This position is located in Idaho and candidates must be within a reasonable distance to our location
