Job SummaryMicron is seeking driven Process Technicians to support wafer manufacturing operations. These technicians will monitor processes and review data. They will also partner with engineering and production teams to improve yield, quality, and overall efficiency. This position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, along with the capability to troubleshoot issues and manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to established procedures.
Qualified candidates will have intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience extracting, analyzing, and effectively communicating data insights. Success in this role relies on strong teamwork and communication, solid organization and time‑management skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and flexibility regarding responsibilities and shift assignments.
- Complete all required safety training, work safely in various environments (including uneven terrain and confined spaces), and respond to potential hazards to prevent accidents.
- Manage semiconductor tools, conduct technical evaluations, and work with cross‑functional teams to optimize wafer fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance workstations, troubleshoot complex issues, and analyze data to support process improvements.
- Set up and monitor processing tools, guide operators, and perform tasks in both office‑based workstations and cleanroom Fab environments to support R&D and production activities.
- Communicate clearly in writing and speech, manage time effectively, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
- Use Microsoft Office tools and manage up to 25 online manufacturing systems to complete tasks and analyze data in an office‑based setting.
- Conduct technical experiments in wafer fabrication, process test runs, and prepare data visualizations (charts, graphs, records) to identify yield and process issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work 12‑hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) and be willing to move to different shifts and work overtime to support business operations.
- The ability to always wear fab‑specific cleanroom garments (100%) to prevent human contamination of products, and occasionally wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), such as a chemical apron and face shield (approximately 1% of the time).
- AAS or AS Degree in Mechatronics, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent trade school/military experience).
- 2+ years of industry experience; or equivalent military training and experience.
- 2+ year experience identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.
