IT Infrastructure Engineer

Collaborate with Architecture and Factory Network Engineering to design and implement reliable systems and network platforms supporting enterprise networks and factory process control. Develop and maintain network design and configuration standards, and provide guidance on the installation, support, and maintenance of network hardware, system integrations, and software across enterprise and operational technology (OT) environments.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Influence

• Perform hardware and software evaluations.
• Recommend technology solutions and improvements for installation and support procedures.
• Provide configuration, support, and problem diagnosis for IT/OT networks.
• Provide network and security monitoring.
• Participate as required in network implementation and support.
• Ensure network documentation for Enterprise/Corporate network (IT) and factory/controls (OT) networks is updated and maintained.
• Maintain technical knowledge and skills related to systems architecture, network design, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with corporate IT regarding data management and transport between IT/OT systems.
• Provide insight and guidance for the design, documentation, and testing of disaster recovery procedures.
• Plan and implement work related to enterprise/corporate network management and support.

Secondary Job Functions

• Coordinate with management in identifying and solving complex network outages.
• Participate as requested in the development of policies.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Education and Experience

Acceptable Experience and Training

• Technical degree;
  Bachelors of Computer Science, Math, or Science
• Four (4) years of direct experience in Enterprise Networking plus two (2) years of experience in IT Security
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of enterprise network design to guide configuration, deployment, and maintenance of IT/OT networks.
• Advanced expertise in networking technologies, including hardware, software, firmware, and IP routing.
• Strong understanding of plant‑floor network cabling and physical layer requirements.
• Proven ability to rapidly assess and stabilize critical network incidents.
• Advanced proficiency in interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documentation and placards.

Additional Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
