. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

The Global Procurement (GP) team is an integral engine to Micron’s growth, delivering best‑in‑class total cost and supply chain resiliency through cutting‑edge predictive capabilities, risk analysis, and a focus on sustainability and diversity. Our business goals are directly tied to the value we place on our team members—our greatest asset. We invest in our people through a skills‑based learning and development model to create clear career pathways for growth.

Role Overview

As a Principal AI Strategy Product Manager for Global Procurement, you will own the definition and evolution of GP AI strategy across near‑term execution and longer‑term transformation horizons. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad enterprise impact.

You will translate strategy into an actionable, prioritized roadmap; lead hands‑on innovation; and influence enterprise‑level AI direction by partnering closely with IT, platform teams, and Micron leadership. While this role does not include direct people management, it carries strong expectations to lead through influence—driving outcomes through expertise, credibility, and partnership rather than formal authority.

Key Responsibilities GP AI Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
  • Define and continuously refine the AI strategy for GP, balancing immediate business needs with a forward‑looking technology vision.
  • Translate strategy into a sequenced, outcome‑driven roadmap aligned with GP priorities, productivity targets, and enterprise risk posture.
  • Provide clear recommendations on where to invest, experiment, scale, pause, or stop AI initiatives based on value and feasibility.
Hands‑On Agentic AI Development & Innovation
  • Demonstrate hands‑on expertise and a proven track record in designing, building, and iterating agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, UiPath, and Moveworks.
  • Personally lead rapid innovation cycles, including ideation, prototyping, and proof‑of‑concept (POC) development using technology available within Micron.
  • Deliver POCs that are intentionally designed to be ready for scale‑up, including user experience considerations, value hypotheses, technical readiness, and clear handoff artifacts.
Technology Alignment & Enterprise Partnership
  • Anchor AI initiatives in Micron’s current technology stack while actively shaping future direction in partnership with IT, enterprise architecture, and security teams.
  • Influence architectural and platform decisions by articulating Global Procurement‑specific requirements and trade‑offs.
  • Ensure AI solutions are designed for scalability, governance, and enterprise integration from the outset.
  • Maintain a broad and current view of the procurement AI vendor landscape, including emerging tools, platforms, and capabilities.
  • Evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner options in collaboration with IT, SMAI and GP leadership.
  • Provide informed, objective recommendations grounded in both market awareness and Micron’s internal capabilities.
Enterprise Representation & Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Represent Global Procurement in enterprise AI initiatives, forums, and working groups, ensuring GP perspectives are reflected in company‑wide decisions.
  • Partner with other functions (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Security) on cross‑enterprise AI programs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to GP leadership on AI trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic implications.
  • Coach and enable GP team members and leaders on the practical use of AI, including when and how to apply agentic AI, and how to safely design, build, and iterate AI agents using approved enterprise platforms.
  • Serve as a hands‑on mentor for both individual contributors and leaders, helping raise overall AI fluency, confidence, and responsible adoption across Global Procurement.
