Distinguished AI Architect - AEC Construction
We are looking for a Distinguished AI Architect to lead the AI vision for AEC Construction. This is a senior individual contributor role for a hands‑on technical leader who wants to shape how AI transforms construction—moving the industry from manual workflows to intelligent, predictive, and autonomous systems.
You will be the AI technical authority for Construction and related AECO products, working closely with senior leaders to define strategy, guide investment, and deliver AI solutions with real‑world impact.
Responsibilities- Define the long‑term AI architecture and technical vision for construction solutions
- Establish scalable architecture patterns and standards for AI systems
- Bring together GenAI, machine learning, and rule‑based systems into cohesive platforms
- Ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business and customer value
- Opportunity to shape AI strategy for construction at global scale
- Solve novel, high‑impact problems in a mission‑critical industry
- Design multi‑agent AI workflows that plan, reason, validate, and act
- Define MCP‑based orchestration and agent‑to‑agent collaboration patterns
- Integrate Construction Assistant experiences across shared AI platforms
- Define agent governance models for memory, planning, safety, and escalation
- Modernize and scale existing ML solutions into a unified AI framework
- Define best practices for LLMs, prompting, tool use, and retrieval
- Apply classical ML for forecasting, optimization, risk detection, and prediction
- Design hybrid reasoning systems combining ML, rules, and generative AI
- Guide model evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Architect construction‑specific ontologies, knowledge graphs, and reasoning frameworks
- Model relationships across scope, schedule, cost, risk, contracts, and resources
- Enable domain‑aware AI that understands construction workflows and trade complexity
- Solve domain‑specific challenges that generic AI platforms cannot
- Partner with Platform Services teams on shared AI infrastructure
- Align Construction AI systems with enterprise Trusted AI, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
- Drive reuse of platform capabilities while enabling domain‑specific innovation
- Influence platform AI roadmap based on construction use cases and requirements
- Experience as a senior/director level individual contributor
- Deep experience designing and deploying large‑scale AI systems using GenAI and traditional ML
- Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and AI infrastructure
- Experience with multi‑agent systems, orchestration frameworks, and AI governance
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and executive audiences
- A track record of leading, influencing and driving technology strategy
