Senior Sales Engineer at EDB
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our team of Sales Engineering professionals. In this role you will support the sales team in all technical aspects of the sales process, including presentations, demos, proof‑of‑value, pilots, technical workshops, and technical account management.

Responsibilities- Support the sales team in technical aspects of the sales process: presentations, demos, POV, pilots, workshops, account management.
- Work closely with Field & Inside Sales, Partners, Product Management & Engineering to translate technical requirements from and to clients.
- Act as a conduit of technical requirements between EDB and our clients.
- Relational database experience (Postgre
SQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2); active use or administration. - Customer‑facing experience in pre‑sales, sales engineering, consulting, or support.
- Collaborative, solutions‑focused work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with high availability, scalability, performance trade‑offs, security, and related concepts.
- Cloud experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware Cloud, Open Stack, or virtualization.
- Conduct product proof‑of‑value from requirements gathering to successful delivery.
- Experience with containers (Docker), Kubernetes, microservices, and PaaS (Open Shift, Cloud Foundry).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby, C/C++ using database connectors (JDBC, ODBC).
