Description:
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is hiring a Full-time Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) in Boise! This position will work on the evening shift (Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm plus every other weekend) at Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.
- Clean and disinfect various areas within the hospital to maximize infection prevention, enhance patient safety, and increase visual appeal.
- Prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning the floor, making the bed, and more.
- Collect, store, and dispose of medical-related items from patient treatment areas.
- Perform project work such as cleaning carpets and refrigerators.
Self-motivated, trainable, and friendly. Must preserve confidential information, maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and comply with safety standards. Must be comfortable working around blood and bodily fluids with the use of personal protective equipment. The position requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.
General Requirements- Able to communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to provide directions, hospital information, guest room services, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate by telephone, and initiate communication with peers about priorities for tasks.
- Able to stand and walk throughout the day to perform job duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
