Overview
The Clinical Educator – Central Sterile Processing is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of education, training, and competency programs for Central Sterile Processing staff. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies to support safe, high-quality reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical devices. The Clinical Educator partners closely with Central Sterile leadership, perioperative services, infection prevention, and quality teams to promote continuous learning, standardization of practice, and operational excellence across the department.
Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate education, training, and competency programs for Central Sterile Processing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies
- Collaborate with Central Sterile leadership, perioperative services, infection prevention, and quality teams to promote continuous learning and standardized practice
- Bachelor s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Associate Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- HS-DIPLOMA or GED 6+ years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in Sterile Processing preferred
- Licenses/Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
