Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Integrative Medical Receptionist. As a receptionist in our integrative medical practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our services, practitioners, and clinic policies.
  • Coordinate patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date insurance and demographic information.
  • Collect and process payments, handle billing inquiries, and maintain financial records.
  • Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and external contacts in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of integrative medicine concepts and terminology is desirable.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed.
  • Able to accept and process cash transactions from patients.
