The Joint Preservation and Reconstruction Orthopedics clinic is now hiring for a passionate and personable part-time Medical Assistant to work at their clinic located near the Boise Regional Medical Center.
Position Highlights- This position will work with providers with the Total Joint team in Boise.

- Note: CNA work experience does not qualify applicants for the MA position. See Minimum Requirements below for details.

- Our clinics offer patients both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. Patients can feel confident they are in capable hands with board-certified Orthopedic Surgeons whose highest priority is excellence in patient care.
- In addition to the typical MA duties, you will prep injections for minor procedures, complete chart prep, DME application, and suture removals.
- You will also assist with surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, and MRI authorizations.
- An ideal candidate would have an interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, is a quick learner, has an easy going personality, and is a flexible team player willing to jump in on whatever is needed to be done.
- 20 hours per week, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
- MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
- National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
- New Graduates: MA certificate of completion from an accredited program; or completion of a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours, even with MA certification.
- Medical Assistant with experience: 1 year MA experience OR current MA certification OR obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network is required at hire.
- Note:
EMT and CNA certifications do not count towards MA certification.
