OverviewVibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, , is a 40‑bed critical‑care hospital that provides acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital often manages medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized facility, we offer a fast‑paced, friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Organize, direct, perform, and supervise department activities according to Vibra Healthcare Policies and Procedures and comply with facility‑specific guidelines.
- Review department performance, implement changes to improve services, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Communicate department activities, needs, and problems to the CEO, Clinical Operations Pharmacy team, and other clinical leadership.
- Collaborate with CCO/CNO/COO, medical staff, and nursing staff.
- Perform clinical and operational pharmacy duties as needed.
- Participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
- Current, valid, and active pharmacist license in the state of employment required.
- Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience required, or completion of a pharmacy residency program.
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations, including controlled substances.
- Experience with age‑specific patient populations served by this hospital.
- Proficiency with automated pharmacy dispensing and USP 797 IV compounding standards.
- Clinical pharmacy practice preferred.
- Familiarity with medication use programs, pharmacy computer systems, and inventory management.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree strongly preferred.
- Previous management training or equivalent managerial experience preferred.
- Professional image and strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of relevant computer and software applications.
- Demonstrated freedom from illegal drug and alcohol use in the workplace.
