Director of Risk Management (Healthcare - Las Vegas, NV)

Motus is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Las Vegas to identify an experienced Director of Risk Management. This role offers the opportunity to lead patient safety and risk management initiatives across a dynamic acute care environment, driving organizational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the facility’s risk management and patient safety programs.
  • Manage the claim management function, including investigation, analysis, and resolution.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new services and operational processes.
  • Facilitate root cause analyses, action planning, and system‑level learning initiatives.
  • Chair and manage the Patient Safety Council, integrating corporate TERM programs into facility operations.
  • Partner with executive leadership and department heads to implement corporate and facility risk reduction strategies.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.
  • Analyze data, develop reports, and communicate findings to leadership and governance bodies.
  • Serve as a resource and educator to promote awareness and engagement in patient safety and risk reduction efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (required).
  • 2–5 years of Risk Management experience in a hospital or acute care setting (required).
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated success in patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
