We are hiring a Credit Analyst I for our Commercial team. The position may be performed and located in either Coeur d'Alene, Boise, Credit Analyst I is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing credit authorizations, conducting annual credit reviews, evaluating commercial real estate, and supporting portfolio management of the commercial loan portfolio. The Credit Analyst must adhere to Mountain West Bank's high service standards for both internal and external customers.
Everyone must maintain regular and reliable attendance as this is an essential function of the position.
This is a full‑time, hourly position. Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for a total of 40 hours a week. Rate of pay depends on experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare credit authorizations, loan information sheets, and supporting documentation for new and existing accounts.
- Analyze financial statements and tax returns; identify trends and raise questions based on borrower and industry data.
- Conduct internal evaluations of commercial real estate and analyze collateral values.
- Communicate with borrowers to obtain or clarify financial information.
- Support Relationship Managers with portfolio management tasks.
- Monitor borrower financial condition and covenant compliance; report significant changes.
- Maintain service level standards and comply with internal policies and applicable regulations, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
- Participate in bank and community events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Show flexibility to perform additional duties as needed.
- Associate’s degree or 1 year of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 1+ year of banking experience.
- Experience with Jack Henry systems.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with a moderate noise level.

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
