Safety Engineer / Specialist
Responsible for supporting construction projects onsite, directly working with trade crews and reporting to the safety manager. Implementation and administration of company accident prevention plans, policies and procedures. Provide safety technical expertise and support to the branch. Promote safety procedures and safe work practices.
Assist in the investigation of work‑related injuries, illnesses and near‑miss incidents; enforce corrective actions to prevent recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors. Review all accidents and investigation reports. Act as liaison between the company and client regarding site safety management.
Assist in identifying, correcting and mitigating routine and non‑routine safety and health hazards. Coach workers to gain compliance with accident prevention plans, policies and procedures. Provide safety resources for workers and evaluate potential safety‑health hazards.
Conduct job‑site inspections and periodic audits to assess compliance. Establish branch and project safety goals. Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Skills & Qualifications- 2–4 years ideally – OSHA 500 preferred; other certifications acceptable
- OSHA 30, OSHA 510, EHS, construction safety, semiconductor
- Strong collaboration, communication, and behavioral‑based safety mindset
- Ability to handle all levels of communication: craft, management, client, etc.
