Construction Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a significant chip manufacturing project in Boise, Idaho. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in mechanical construction and a thorough understanding of plumbing scope. In this role, you will lead high-performing teams across design, engineering, project management, and business services, ensuring the successful execution of major construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, and project management techniques.
Responsibilities
* Lead teams in design, engineering, project management, and business services.
* Oversee major construction projects by managing personnel, financials, risks, and schedules.
* Mentor Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
* Develop strong, positive relationships with clients.
* Own estimates, project scoping, proposals, safety, and execution, meeting profitability goals.
* Understand mechanical systems costing and value analysis.
* Communicate with engineering staff to ensure complete designs within budget.
* Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams.
* Attend coordination and business development meetings to secure new business.
* Estimate and negotiate change orders.
* Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.
* Buy out major equipment and subcontracts, expedite and track deliveries.
* Maintain working knowledge of project contracts and specifications.
* Ensure compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
* Plan, organize, and schedule project work.
* Ensure full compliance with safety programs.
* Communicate proactively and professionally with team members.
* Uphold core values, maintain regular attendance, and promptness.
Essential Skills
* 1+ Years' experience as a mechanical project manager OR 5+ Years' experience as a mechanical project engineer.
* High level of technical competency in plumbing scope.
* Ability to read and understand drawings related to complex plumbing systems.
* Experience with estimation, construction management, and bidding.
* Understanding of RFI, submittals, and change orders.
* Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Advanced organizational and time management skills.

* Advanced computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, One Drive, Teams, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint Vista.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position at a prominent chip manufacturing project in Boise, Idaho. The role is salaried with an expectation of 50 hours per week, with additional straight-time pay for hours worked over 50. The work involves collaborating closely with project teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
