Position SummaryOur client is seeking a highly skilled Bench Test Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and hands‑on testing of enterprise SSD products. This role involves detailed bench‑level testing, data analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on bench testing of SSD products, including:
- Switching regulators and LDO regulators
- Power systems and discrete component evaluation
- Drive performance margining
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify trends and issues.
- Communicate findings clearly to the engineering team and propose solutions or next steps.
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- 3–4 years of experience in electrical lab bench testing, ideally with SSD-related hardware or similar technologies.
- Strong Linux command‑line proficiency
- Python experience
- Ability to review schematics and define test setups
- Knowledge of switching regulators, LDOs, and power systems
- Clear technical communication skills
- Full on‑site presence in Boise, with 60–75% hands‑on bench testing and 20–30% reporting, debugging, and communication responsibilities.
- The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or approximately 6 years of experience without a degree.
- Be able to work independently, show strong ownership, and operate as a self‑starter.
- Set up test systems, document procedures, and independently troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Be physically present in the lab for hands‑on characterization work.
- Possess sufficient technical depth to function similarly to a highly skilled technician.
- Electrical engineering experience with bench‑level testing.
- Familiarity with basic Linux environments and debugging tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently to solve problems.
- Experience with enterprise SSD products and power systems testing.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
