Equipment Engineer
As an Equipment Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, maintaining, and optimizing Fab process equipment to improve product quality, drive yield improvements, reduce cost, and enhance productivity while managing risk and resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be required to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment‑related issues by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodology. Coordinating and carrying out equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process steps, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost‑optimization activities, handling new equipment qualifications, and managing, auditing, and collaborating with equipment suppliers are also key responsibilities.

Skill Sought Out For This Role- Strong process area equipment knowledge
- DRAM development and manufacturing experience
- Proven automation skills through previous automation projects requiring coding/machine learning/JMP scripting
- Strong ability to perform functions of this role described above with minimal direction/guidance
- Strong logic and problem‑solving skills and a proven approach with the demeanor "how can I resolve this today!"
- Mature understanding of the process flow related to area equipment and SPC principles
- Strong leadership skills with the shown ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups
- Able to efficiently organize multifunctional teams to complete projects and solve a variety of problems, coordinate meetings, and initiate follow‑up actions with the demeanor, "how will I make a difference today!"
- Strong partnering and teamwork skills
- Ability to communicate and present optimally to all audiences using the intended question "who needs to know this?"
- Demonstrate ability to resolve sophisticated problems, manage projects, resolve equipment issues, and develop procedures or action plans when one isn't in place
- Strong understanding of physics, area chemistry, and semiconductor equipment concepts as well as analytical problem‑solving skills
- Mature time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience maintaining diffusion equipment for semiconductor products
- Experience in manufacturing
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Data science understanding
