With HDR’s power sector, you’ll work side‑by‑side with industry‑recognised engineers and scientists to contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the work of the power design team through schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
- Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule
- Conduct work sessions at the project site with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Review project documents for conflicts with other disciplines
- Write and edit project specifications
- Coordinate with disciplines on addenda, RFIs, COs, and incorporate agreed‑upon changes into project documents
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators, Designers, or BIM Technicians as needed
- Perform other duties as required
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- 6+ years’ experience in detailed electrical design work
- Experience with an engineering consulting firm and hydropower generation is highly preferred
- Experience with data‑analysis software relevant to electrical engineering
- Familiarity with SKM Power tools, Easy Power, Matlab, and Visual Basic
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, Revit)

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographic location.
Pay Transparency for Spokane, Washington: $93,024 – $125,856. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions; temporary and part‑time roles are eligible for limited benefits.)
