As a Shift Process Engineer/Technician with the Yield Technology group at Micron, you will focus on operation and minor maintenance of a diverse set of equipment across Real‑Time Defect Analysis (RDA) or Metrology applications.
Responsibilities- Complete certifications and learning events to support department growth and learn about other Micron aspects.
- Provide support for Fab 4 Process Development Engineering and Process Integration teams.
- Assist the equipment team in recipe creation.
- Provide SEM support for FAB 4 – PFA technicians supporting incoming SEM requests; support level depends on the SEM queue.
- Provide PFA support for FAB 4 YE part types (DRAM, and EM).
- Communicate with part‑type engineers regarding requests, priorities and general queue communications.
- Communicate with Micron team members and supplier representatives at all levels regarding tool issues, requests and support items.
- MS or BS and 1-2 years of equivalent process engineering experience; majors include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Good understanding of FAB process steps: wet etch, dry etch, PVD, ALD, CMP, etc.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide resolution.
- PC skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, One Note) and a good understanding of Micron AI tools.
- Availability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Experience in semiconductor Metrology or RDA (preferred but not required).
