We’re looking for an HVAC Quality Assurance Professional in Boise, Idaho who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects, including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Working with discipline subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
  • Leading the development of inspection test plans.
  • Assisting in Turn Over Package requirements and development.
  • Visually inspecting material at receipt and before installation.
  • Performing QA walk-throughs:
    Conduct regular HVAC QA walks through new construction areas to verify compliance with client standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinating EFF Sign-Off:

    Ensure coordination with HVAC QA for Equipment Functional Form (EFF) sign-off and readiness for service (RFIS) dates.
  • Quality & safety compliance:
    Complete all required safety training and enforce client safety policies, including PPE, lockout/tagout (CoHE) and chemical safety. Stop work for unsafe conditions and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Documentation & reporting:
    Document RFIs and SCRs avoided, maintain QA/QC metrics and submit audit findings and good catches to improve safety and quality performance.
  • Continuous improvement:
    Drive front-end print accuracy improvements to save HVAC hours and reduce costs. Participate in cost avoidance initiatives and maintain schedule efficiency.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination:
    Work closely with engineering, trades and contractors to resolve design and installation issues, ensuring projects meet client standards.
  • Specialized Training & Knowledge:
    Apply client specific training, such as cleanroom attire, chemical PPE, PSP handling and hazardous duct inspections.

Here's what you'll need
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent certified technical training
  • At least 7 years of experience working in the QA/QC industry
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to work onsite (5 days per week) in Boise,

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and drive to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction
Other Requirements:

Location:
  • This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Boise, .
  • Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.
  • Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidate.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

  • Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a visa for this position.
