Duration: 12‑month contract with a possibility of extension

Onsite requirement: 50% in the first month, then one week per month thereafter

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in chemical/mechanical facilities engineering (ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design and related systems)
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering design projects
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization ability, and leadership experience
  • Ideally:
    • 1+ year working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools (manufacture, installation, or use in clean rooms)
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
    • Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices and bring innovative ideas
    • Quick learner with a drive to broaden knowledge
    • Passion for buildings and construction
    • 1 year field experience
Responsibilities
  • Work on projects that enable our clients’ manufacturing in Boise,
  • Collaborate closely with client owners in a fast‑paced environment to review designs, specifications, and drawings, and provide feedback and comments
  • Interface with client and site personnel, and drive design and construction documents through the review process with the team
  • Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for complex manufacturing tools and mechanical infrastructure systems
  • Design and oversee piping for equipment water, wastewater, process chemicals, and gases; support retrofits of existing building systems, including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification
  • Edit client specifications and standards; review design packages (P&IDs, layout drawings, details, equipment plans) and follow up on vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents
Physical Requirements
  • Field visits and walking at active client sites during various construction stages
  • Ability to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, and work in small spaces
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
