Mid-Level Electrical Engineer – Power & Energy Team, WSP, U.S.

Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (Additional locations: Seattle, WA; Hailey, ; Boise, ; Overland Park, KS; Atlanta, GA; Oradell, NJ; Houston, TX)

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support electrical design of power generation projects.
  • Lead and support electrical design of renewable energy projects.
  • Lead and support electrical design of power plant and switchyard upgrades.
  • Lead and support electrical design of federal system upgrades.
  • Mentor and teach junior engineers.
  • Develop project proposals and budgets.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of relay coordination and schematic design experience.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Proficiency with CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software.
  • Track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work schedules that may extend beyond a typical workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Previous experience leading a group of engineers.
  • 3+ years of detailed design in generating facilities and/or substations.
  • 3+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and/or substations.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $73,100 – $125,400. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on experience and location.
