Overview
Sr. Technician role s water treatment technical representative position focuses on maintaining and expanding the business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts. The role involves recommending and applying basic water treatment applications and solutions, communicating program results to Chem Treat Account Managers and customers, and delivering professional and high-quality customer and technical services. Candidates should be familiar with basic water testing, taking measurements, documenting results through reports, and sharing quantitative data with customers.
Responsibilities- Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply appropriate chemical solutions and monitor effects for additional treatment
- Perform services as dictated by contractual obligations
- Calibrate pumps and perform repairs that restore chemical feeds
- Monitor product feed rates and their impact on water samples; adjust treatment programs as gaps are detected
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to junior technicians
- Enter results into software and communicate results via service reports
- Assist in water-related system improvement projects
- Monitor product inventories
- Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition
- Other duties as assigned by manager

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent skills
- Bachelor of Science;
Engineering or technical degree preferred - 5+ years of experience in water treatment, chemical or adjacent industries
- Travel dependent on size of assigned territory
- May require long hours and varied work schedules
- Physical ability to walk long distances, stand, climb (including stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear and smell
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects and computer keyboards
- Reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach; lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds; maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds
- Lift 50+ pounds repeatedly; climb stairs and ladders; work at high elevations
- Occasionally drive short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations
- Specific vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus)
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable performance of essential functions
- Required to wear PPE for deliveries (eye, hearing, respiratory protection, protective apron, steel-toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, face shields)
- Occasionally in extreme heat
- Noise considerations at indoor and outdoor sites; high noise levels at times
- Site locations may include boiler houses, cooling towers, water or wastewater plants, or process areas
- Use of hazardous chemicals is routine
- Collaborative working environment; position interfaces with multiple levels within customer organizations
Employment with Chem Treat is at-will, meaning either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time and for any reason (or no reason), with or without notice, unless a written agreement is in place signed by the employee and a Chem Treat representative.

Compensation & Benefits (US Only)The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 USD per year. We may pay more or less than the posted range. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The information about pay and benefits is subject to change and may be modified at the Company’s discretion. Eligible employees will also be considered for bonuses or other forms of compensation as determined by company policy and applicable law.
