Water Resources Lead

Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 / year

A Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources will lead large, multi‑discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water systems.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
  • Assist in proposal preparation including oral presentations; prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
  • Interface with clients including state and local agencies.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of engineering and construction‑related issues.
  • Prepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub‑consultants and clients.
  • Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information clearly and meet client requirements.
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations and drawing preparation.
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • 8+ years of experience in water facilities engineering, design, or construction.
  • Ability to manage engineering, design, or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D modeling, and other applicable software.
  • Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients and multi‑discipline team members.
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in work‑share with other offices.
  • Proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
